Since 2012, RJ Living has operated as a family-owned Australian business. Founded by David Janovic, the business was born out of his desire to deliver unique designer furniture, without the inflated price tag.
With his vast knowledge and the support of an experienced team, RJ Living has firmly cemented itself as an industry leader for quality designs sought after by interior designers, architects, stylists and design enthusiasts alike.

Teamwork makes the dream work. Our founder David Janovic has been operating RJ Living since its inception in 2012. With humble beginnings, he is now supported by a young team of passionate design professionals.

David lives and breathes furniture, design & eCommerce. He is extremely passionate about bringing affordable design to RJ Living clients and customers. After working for Goldman Sachs JBWere for 2 years, David founded RJ Living after being fed up with the lack of unique designer furniture available at an affordable price. When he’s not working at RJ Living, he loves a double espresso, watching his beloved Carlton Football Club, and spending time with his family.
Nathan is passionate about design and is our resident jack of all trades, ensuring the smooth running of all operations at RJ Living. If he is not coordinating a lifestyle shoot, or designing our next marketing campaign, he’s probably online shopping. Outside of work, he loves to cook good food, play a game of basketball, and watch his struggling football club, Melbourne.
Annaliese lives for all things design, from interiors to fashion and everything in between. She is passionate about bringing unique, high quality, and affordable pieces to the market whilst maintaining a design edge. If Annaliese isn’t meeting with new suppliers or sourcing new designs, you’ll find her shopping for new clothes at her local shopping center, or walking her miniature dachshund, Willow.
An industrial designer by trade, Milly is responsible for designing our expanding RJ Living product range. Milly is passionate about creating clean, simple designs, made from sustainably sourced materials, and forging meaningful relationships with our makers. In her spare time, she is deeply engaged in the design world and loves following architecture and interior design trends from all over the world.
Shubham is RJ Living’s in-house numbers man, with an analytical mind who loves solving complex business problems. When not looking at an excel spreadsheet or our accounts in Xero, he loves to binge on Netflix. But he is not your typical accountant - capable of moving from quiet to loud, serious to hilarious, introverted to extroverted - and that’s what we love about him.
Matt leads our sales team and loves working with our commercial and residential clients to create the perfect interior design solution for their project. He forges close relationships withall his clients, and they turn to him for his on trend design advice, but also his good humour. When not working with clients, Matt can be found doing long walks around the CBD and keeping fit in the gym.
Mark is our warehouse manager and ensures our beautiful furniture designs are stored safely and delivered to our clients in a timely manner. He is passionate about warehousing and logistics. He also believes that applying client-centric principles are important in scaling our operations. When not in the warehouse, Mark is a passionate Hawthorn supporter who isn’t afraid to remind us of their recent premiership successes.
Israel heads up our Digital Marketing team and is passionate about using data to drive sales and solve problems. When he isn’t analysing data, Israel loves to study geography and maps, spend time with his family, travel and learn with his children.
Whether guiding customers through our product range, or re inventing our showroom with a selection of stylish looks, Jesse thrives on creating unforgettable customer experiences. His downtime is spent creating artwork across a variety of formats, and tending to his extensive plant collection.
Grace is our Admin and Customer Support superstar and ensures that our clients receive amazing customer service. When she’s not assisting customers with their interior needs, Grace loves kickboxing and spending time at the beach. Full of energy and a forever positive attitude, Grace is a favourite amongst her coworkers and customers for a reason!
Whether bringing new products to life online or coordinating with our courier partners, Achel ensures RJ Living runs smoothly as possible. She loves hanging out with friends and immersing herself in sports from across the world.
